The adventures of Samuarai Jack has been great fun to read. The series is about, an evil shape-shifter named Aku from the distant past that has brought destruction upon the land. Jack is a heroic warrior in a quest to return to the past and undo the evil wrought by Aku. ~ d
Dillon has been loving “The Monster Show” for weeks. It is a cute “tell all” about monsters... did you know that monsters feel silly only wearing underpants? Little D (3) now reads it back to me and it is the cutest thing ever. ~d
This is a great little series of books about trucks, fire engines, digger and other machines. Dillon reads these over and over again. The have cute illustrations, bright colors and they are about machines — what little boy wouldn't like! ~d

Round Up - Things To Do In The Bay Area This Weekend

This is their last weekend so don’t miss the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival at the Palace of Fine Arts in SF. 37 companies, 20 countries. Children under 16 are half price. Shows are Saturdays at 2 & 8p.m. and Sunday at 2p.m

Swazzle Puppets presents River Otter Circus at the Golden Gate Valley branch of the SF library, Saturday 1:30-2:15p.m., and at the Mission Bay Branch at 4p.m. Cost is free.

Perhaps more of an event for mommies... Maison Reve is holding their french flea market, Brocante, this Saturday, June 27th from 8a.m. to noon. You’ll find all kinds of vintage treasures abound in their Urban Farmhouse Garden. Maison Reve is in Mill Valley, check their website and blog for more information.
